Hotel Grifo is located in Monti, one of the historic neighborhoods of Rome: well in the center of town, it has kept its “village” dimensions and thus is isolated from the noise and confusion of the capital. Monti is famous for its alleyways that reach the main monuments of the eternal city, for its restaurants, for its wine shops, and also for its safety. In just a few minutes on foot you can reach the Coliseum, the Roman Forum, the Palatine hill, Piazza Venezia, the Capitoline hill, the Trevi Fountain, the Quirinale, the Spanish Steps, Michaelangelo’s Moses, Trajan’s markets, the basilicas of Santa Maria Maggiore and San Giovanni in Laterano… In case you get tired, all the main monuments can be reached in 10 minutes by public transportation. The hotel staff is at your service to recommend the most scenic walks or the quickest way to reach your destination.

How to get to the Hotel from Leonardo da Vinci Airport, Fiumicino:
Take the direct train to Termini Station, then follow the instruction to get from there to the Hotel.
Airport Shuttle-service: Shuttle service from the airport to the Hotel is available.

How to get to the Hotel from Ciampino Airport:
Take the bus to the Anagnina Metro A Station (the red one),  Get from there to Termini Station, then follow the instruction to get from there to the Hotel. A private company offers a shuttle service from Ciampino to Termini Station.
 Airport Pick Up-service – Pick up service from the airport to the Hotel is available.

How to get to the Hotel from Termini Station:
• taxi - There is a taxi station right in front of Termini Station. Grifo Hotel's Staff advices you to take the white taxi, the official ones, to get to the Hotel after a few minutes trip.
• metro - Take the Metro B (the blue one) to Laurentina and get off at first stop from Termini: Cavour. Hotel Grifo is 100 meters far from Cavour stop.
• walking - Walk from Termini Station to Cavour street, go straight ahead for 200 meters , than turn right to via Panisperna, walk along it until you cross via del Boschetto: Grifo Hotel is located at your left.

How to get to the hotel by car:
Follow the instruction to the centre, more precisely: via Nazionale. Via del Boschetto is a crossing street of via Nazionale (see the map).

Grifo Hotel's Staff advices you to notice in case you came by car: this would allow your access to Rome No-Traffic Zone (ZTL).

 

CAPITOLINE HILL: It is one of the most interesting architectural areas in Rome. The whole complex (square and buildings) was built in the sixteenth century according to Michelangelo's designs.
